About these standards: Mahr al-Azwāj follows the authentic 500-dirham basis (1,530.9 g of silver); Mahr Fāṭimī follows the cautious 1,750 g basis. Amanah mints to meet and exceed each. The mahr is the bride's exclusive right, agreed between the couple. Consult your imam and your country's requirements; in the UAE, Federal Law No. 21 of 1997 also applies.
