About Amanah
4 questionsWhat does Amanah mean?
Amanah (أمانة) is an Arabic term meaning trust, integrity, and responsibility. In Islam, it encompasses everything Allāh has entrusted to you — from your physical faculties to the duties and rights owed to others. When you order with Amanah, everything about trust, integrity, and service is embedded in our customer experience.
What is the purity of Amanah coins and bars?
All coins and bars at Amanah are always 24K 999.9 Fine as standard. This applies to both gold and silver — every product is 24K pure without exception. We do not produce lower purity products.
What is the striking process used to create Amanah coins?
Amanah uses a 50-tonne hydraulic press to produce our coins. Each coin receives three strikes — one on the top face, one on the bottom face, and one on the edge — achieving the shiny and matte finishes you see. All coins and bars also pass through a luxury buffing and polish process, giving them a brilliant finish. We recommend handling coins only with jeweller's gloves to avoid fingerprint staining.
Are Amanah coins Sharīʿah-compliant?
Yes. Every Amanah coin is certified by the Islamic Monetary Council (IMC), audited under AAOIFI Sharīʿah Standard No. 57 and digitally authenticated on-chain by the Islamic Digital Certification Council (IDCC). Ownership and constructive possession (qabḍ) transfer to you at the point of purchase, which eliminates the riba risk present in most modern gold products.
Vault & Storage
5 questionsWhat is the Amanah Vault?
The Amanah Vault is our free secure storage service for all purchased gold and silver. Rather than having your coins shipped, you can select "Free Vault" at checkout and your metal will be stored in our licensed, SIRA-certified partner vault in Dubai. Your holdings are fully allocated, insured, and available for withdrawal or delivery at any time.
Is my gold physically present in the vault, or held on paper?
Your gold is entirely physical and fully allocated. It is not pooled, not lent, and not hypothecated. The specific coins you purchased are held in your name, photographed on entry, and logged against your account. This is a core requirement of our Sharīʿah compliance — gold must be qabḍ (physically possessed or constructively possessed under your control).
Is there a fee for vault storage?
Standard vault storage is free of charge with every Amanah purchase. There are no hidden fees, no monthly administration charges, and no minimum holding period. Premium plans are available for larger institutional holdings — please contact us for details.
Can I withdraw my gold from the vault at any time?
Yes. You may request release of your holdings at any time through your Amanah account. There is no withdrawal fee from Amanah. Delivery fees apply (courier, insurance, and packaging costs). We aim to despatch within one business day of your request.
Can I visit the vault in person?
Yes, by appointment. Customers may visit our Dubai facility to inspect their holdings. Please contact us at least 72 hours in advance. Photo ID matching your account is required on arrival.
Shipping & Delivery
5 questionsWhat shipping methods are available?
We offer secure, insured, and discreet shipping on all products. All shipments include a tracking code and are express and fully insured as standard. We use couriers including DHL, FedEx, and Emirates Post depending on the destination.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship gold and silver globally. However, we do not currently ship to the following countries: Sudan, Bangladesh, Uganda, Ukraine, Egypt, Ghana, India, Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, Syria, North Korea, South Korea, and Yemen. Please contact us if your country is not listed — we will do our best to advise.
How long will delivery take?
After your order is placed, our fulfilment centre will despatch within 2–3 working business days. For GCC countries, delivery typically takes 2–4 business days. For international shipments outside the GCC, delivery can take up to 2 weeks depending on destination and customs clearance.
Who is responsible for customs duties and import taxes?
The customer is fully responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees, or government charges applicable in their destination country. Amanah does not pay, reimburse, or cover customs fees under any circumstances. We strongly recommend checking your country's import regulations for precious metals before ordering.
What happens if my shipment is blocked or returned by customs?
If a shipment is returned due to unpaid customs, refused delivery, or government restrictions, Amanah will not issue a refund. The gold or silver will be re-registered under your vault account. You may then request a new delivery (subject to a new delivery fee) or request a sell-back at current market rates.
Payment
3 questionsWhat payment methods are accepted?
We accept bank transfer (encouraged, to avoid processing fees), Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and cryptocurrency. Cash is accepted for in-person transactions in Dubai only. We do not accept PayPal.
What currency does Amanah operate in?
AED (UAE Dirham) is our official operating currency. USD payments are accepted in special cases. Prices are displayed in AED and may fluctuate due to global precious metals market movements.
Is buying online safe and secure?
Yes. All payments use SSL encryption. Our platform follows a strict KYC (Know Your Customer) protocol. Amanah is regulated by the UAE Federal tax authority and certified by the Islamic Monetary and Digital Council (IMC/IMDC). All payments are processed through our secure Tap Payments gateway.
Orders & Returns
4 questionsDo I need an account to place an order?
Yes. An account is required to place an order. This allows us to maintain your order history, vault holdings, IDCC certificates, and delivery preferences securely in one place.
How can I cancel or change my order?
Amanah does not accept cancellations, refunds, or exchanges. All sales are final. This policy exists because of the live price nature of precious metals — the spot price changes continuously, and all orders are locked at the price confirmed at checkout. If an item arrives damaged, please contact us immediately with photographic evidence and we will assess repair or replacement on a case-by-case basis.
How do I track my order?
You can track your order through your account order status page, via SMS, via email confirmation, or directly through the third-party courier's tracking system using the tracking code provided at despatch.
Can I return a product?
Amanah does not accept returns for any sale. All sales are final. Refunds are only considered in two specific circumstances: an incorrect item was shipped, or goods arrive damaged and this is evidenced at delivery. In all other cases, no return or refund is available.
Certifications & Authenticity
4 questionsWhat certifications do Amanah coins carry?
Every Amanah coin is certified by four independent bodies: the UAE General Directorate (UAEGD) for purity and hallmarking; the Islamic Monetary Council (IMC) for Sharīʿah monetary compliance; AAOIFI for annual Sharīʿah audit of our transaction structure; and the Islamic Digital Certification Council (IDCC) for blockchain-recorded digital authentication.
How do I verify the authenticity of my coin?
Each Amanah coin carries a unique serial number on its assay card. Enter this number on the IDCC verification portal at islamicmonetarycouncil.org to access your coin's full blockchain record — purity, weight, minting date and ownership history. No login is required to verify.
Can Amanah coins be used for Mahr (dowry)?
Yes. Our IMC certification specifically confirms that Amanah gold dinars and silver dirhams meet the classical weight and purity specifications recognised for Mahr across all major madhabs. Many scholars consider the IMC-certified gold dinar the most appropriate form of Mahr for a Muslim marriage. Our concierge team can assist with Mahr selection, personalisation, and presentation.
Can Amanah coins be used for Zakat calculation?
Yes. Because Amanah gold dinars and silver dirhams meet the classical nisab specifications, they can be used directly for Zakat calculation. Visit the Islamic Monetary Council website for the current Zakat nisab in dinar and dirham terms.
